We purchased Bear last summer for our teenage daughters to produce, both experienced riders. Over the last 10 months She has been very much part of our busy family and loved by everyone. Bear has been produced slowly and correctly, with the support of professional riders and coaches. She is a kind, affectionate pony - very ‘un-mareish’ in her manner and very easy to do.
Bear hacks nicely in company and alone, has done lots of pony club rallies, hound exercising, fun rides, farm rides, arena hires, SJ & XC competitions, recently qualifying for the National Hunter Trial Championships at Eland Lodge. She has a full green passport. Bear is still early in her ridden career so we’d like an experienced home in order to continue her education and achieve her full potential.
Bear has a Welsh pony brain so can be nervous in new situations/ environments. She is easily reassured and is never nasty - no kicking, biting, bucking, rearing or tanking off. She is happy to live in or out (currently stabled at night, out during the day) and will live with mares or geldings. She’s great to catch, load and is bare foot (good for farrier).
We are all incredibly fond of Bear and believe she has a very bright future. She’s now ready to find her own little person to love and have fun with. A five star home is essential for this very special mare.
