Ivanacara bimaculata 2 spot acara A small South American cichlid dwarf from the potaro river area which is rarely fished making this a relatively rare fish. These are UK bred juveniles that can be sexed. Closely related to Ivanacara adoketa but generally much more peaceful and colourful and more suited to a mixed community tank. Males show a metallic blue green sheen where females are slightly smaller and have a pinkish/orangish belly. Eat most foods offered prefer soft water and pH around 6.0-7.0 however to breed them sucessfully this has to drop to 4.5-5.5 for egg fertilisation, they may spawn in higher pH but often they are infertile. Plenty root work and botanicals should be provided. Small unsexed fish 20.00 each.
