Ivanacara adoketa F1 juveniles I have juvenile adoketa available shortly these are from wild caught adult fish. Ivanacara adoketa zebra acara are small South American cichlid from the Rio Negro basin in Brazil, growing up to 3-4 ". These fish prefer soft acid water pH 5.0-6.5 and relatively soft. The tank should be furnished with roots and caves to allow the fish to hide. Their natural waters are often tannin stained and can be as low as 3.0-4.0 pH , so roots and other botanicals should be provided. Lighting should be dim to replicate their environment and water flow low. They are usually peaceful with each other but if breeding they will have a go at anything else in the tank large of small. In a community set up they can get along with larger tetra, rasbora and medium sized catfish this may make them bolder in the aquarium but they may turn aggressive when they want to breed. Breeding usually requires a drop in the pH to 5.0-6.0. They re omnivorous and will eat most things offered livefood or flakes. Recommended to keep a small group of juveniles to grow out or a pair only as males will often fight unless a large tank is provided with many hiding places where separate territories can be maintained.
