Native to Myanmar and parts of northeastern India, inhabiting slow-moving rivers, streams, and floodplains with dense vegetation and hiding spots.
Carnivorous and highly predatory. Accepts:
Live fish
Frozen or fresh meaty foods such as shrimp, worms, or small fish
Occasionally high-protein pellets formulated for carnivorous species
Best kept in a species-only tank due to its predatory nature. Compatible only with:
Avoid: Small or medium-sized fish—they will be considered prey.
